Shuttleworth College is a healthy place to
work and study - it’s official!
Now part of the multi-award-winning Bedford
College group, Shuttleworth has been included in the Learning
and Skills Improvement Service national “Healthy Further Education”
(FE) campaign.
Healthy FE recognition is an award for 16+
colleges that are committed to developing healthy living support
for staff and students, in partnership with local and regional
health services, local authorities and others.
“The award has been achieved thanks to the
hard work of a number of people across the College, especially in
HR, Health & Safety and Student Services.
“But there is still plenty more in our action
plan!,” explains Lesley Ferguson, Director of Student Services.
Shuttleworth College staged a Health
Week earlier this year in which a range of outside agencies
were invited in to talk to students about keeping fit and eating
well
