From falconry to ferret racing, steam engines
to slippery snakes and canoeing to crafts there will be something
for everyone at the Old Warden Park Family Fun Day on Sunday 22nd
May.
A new event for the calendar, the day is a
joint venture by the three organisations at Old Warden Park: there
will be a fly past of historic aircraft from the Shuttleworth
Collection; experts on hand from Shuttleworth College to advise on
running a small holding and tractor driving; and The Mansion House
will be providing refreshments and Sunday lunch.
“It is lucky we have hundreds of acres of
grounds to fit in all the events, demonstrations and shows we have
lined up for the day! There will be Hot Rod cars, clay pigeon
shooting, a climbing wall and obstacle course plus craft stalls and
a local food market for a bit of retail therapy. There really
will be something for everyone to enjoy,” said Raj Mandal, General
Manager of The Mansion House.
Tickets for the day cost £5 per adult , £3 for
children under 16 and a family ticket for two adults and two
children is just £13. Call The Mansion House on 01767 626262
or from reception at the Bedford Times and Citizen,
Biggleswade Chronicle, Bedford College or Shuttleworth College.
