Shuttleworth College students blossomed at the
East of England show when their garden designs were picked out for
special praise.
Each year the huge agricultural event is a
show case for the talents of Shuttleworth College staff and
students. Flowers on display are designed by Shuttleworth people
and student garden designs are always praised.
Geoff Deeble, Course Manager Horticulture
says: “We really out shone the competition.
“We won Silver for two gardens with decking
(David Spooner and Luke Johnston) and Bronze for the other by Luke
Anstee.
“Luke Johnston’s garden is a sensory garden
with a place to relax.
“David Spooner’s garden is a Mediterranean
garden and Luke Anstee’s garden had the theme ‘Fire and Ice’.”
Shuttleworth College students won praise
earlier in the year when they were among those asked to create a
garden for the Ideal Home Exhibition - their display was closely
examined by Britain's best known gardener, HRH Prince Charles.
