Bedford College is leading the way when it
comes to Adult Learners’ Week in Bedfordshire and Luton.
There are Open Days on College sites, and,
staff will be taking learning out on to the streets in Bedford and
Luton. Plus there will be a grand finale
at a Family Fun Day at Shuttleworth College,
Old Warden.
Here is the diary of events:
May 17th
Open Day 2pm–8pm at Bedford College’s
Main Campus in Cauldwell Street, the Plumbing & Gas
Technology Centre and Vehicle Technology Centre in Triumph Way,
Woburn Road Industrial Estate, Kempston and BROOKS Hair
& Beauty salon in the High Street, Bedford.
May 18th
10am–3pm Older People’s Festival at Bedford
Corn Exchange with a chance to find out more adult learning
opportunities at Bedford College.
6.30pm–8pm talk on internet marketing for
the non-technical by TV’s Stefan Drew.

10.30am–3.30pm Bedford College will be
taking part in an interactive exhibition in St Paul’s
Square, Bedford.
4.30pm–7.30pm Open Day at Shuttleworth
College, Old Warden Park, Biggleswade.

May 20th
10.00am–4.00pm Bedford College and staff
from its Learning Centre in Luton will be meeting the public
at an interactive stand in The Mall, Luton.
May 22nd
10.30am–4.00pm Family Fun Day at Old
Warden Park including demonstrations of a whole range of land-based
learning and countryside skills which are available to view on-line
via http://www.shuttleworth.ac.uk/.

Meanwhile across the border in
Northamptonshire, Bedford College’s Rushden Learning Centre is
running a special series of promotions including the “enrol free
through the month of May” deal. These are being promoted on Connect
FM community radio.
